Drake’s magical odyssey commenced 29 years ago, and since then, he has crisscrossed the United States like a comet trailing stardust. From the sun-kissed fields of County Fairs to the bustling streets of City Festivals, Drake has left audiences spellbound with his mesmerizing performances. Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri—each state a chapter in his mystical saga. But it doesn’t stop there. Alabama, Texas, Nevada, Louisiana, and Florida have all witnessed his prestidigitations. He’s been on NBC and CW Network stages, lent his mystical touch to the set of NCIS New Orleans and even conjured illusions at Six Flags in Vallejo, California.
He’s back with us again this year for Stanton Old Fashioned Days, performing multiple shows a day, starting off on Stage as the opening act prior to the Miss Stanton Scholarship Pageant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Be sure to catch one of his performances on stage or on street throughout the Festival.
Coming to Stanton Old Fashioned Days all the way from New Orleans, Louisiana! As a native of Michigan, magical entertainer Drake Watson is bringing his Hometown Roots Tour back to where it all started, his home state!Drake’s Mystic Magic Show is a whacked out blend of mystery, comedy and sleight of hand. The show is packed full of audience participation, laughter and lots of family fun, with rope tricks, card tricks, silks, colorful props and even LIVE goldfish! You especially won’t want to miss watching for one second as Drake does his straight jacket Escape in honor of Harry Houdini’s death in 1926, 96 years ago, as seen on CW Network and NBC.
The best thing about Drake’s show is that he never gets hurt…97% of the time 🤣. If you don’t see it you’ll miss it. Be sure to catch one of his performances on stage or on street throughout the Festival.
Show times and locations are scheduled to be as follows:
- Friday from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. on stage.
- Saturday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to Noon on Main Street, and then a special hour long stage performance with balloon twisting will be from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Sunday, the last shows will be from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. on S Camburn Street and from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on S Court Street.
