2018 Tractor Show

What would SOFD be without a Tractor Show? Farmers and tractor enthusiasts
alike love the Stanton Old Fashioned Days annual tractor show, hosted by the Old
Iron Tractor Club. Tractors of all makes and models, including garden tractors,
will line Main Street on Saturday morning. Come see and hear the history of
farming as you take in the many tractors on display.
Stanton area farmers love their old tractors, so this show is a fun chance to show
them to others and compare childhood stories. Many of the tractors on display are
second and third generation owned. For these tractor owners, their tractor is not
only a piece of work equipment, but it is also a treasure from the past that they are
proud of.
This year the Ford tractor is the featured attraction. If you own one of these relics,
be sure to bring it out and show it off. Staging will begin at 7:00 A.M. at the
Montcalm County Garage, located west of Stanton on Main Street . If you have a
tractor being trailered in, parking and unloading areas will also be available there
at the garage. Be sure to pick up a photo card to give to the photographer, who will
be on the scene to capture you on your tractor for the annual SOFD Tractor
Calendar.
Once the 5K Run/Walk has cleared Main Street, around 8:15 A.M., tractors will
parade onto Main Street, stop to pose for a photo, and take their place for all to
admire. Registration will then be located in front of Chemical Bank. No preregistration
is needed and there is no registration fee. 50/50 drawings will be
available for spectators, and prizes will be awarded to contestants during the show.
